1# Continuous Annealing and Coating Line of the Silicon Steel Cold Rolling Project of LY Steel Succeeded in Igniting the Annealing Furnace

On April 19^th, 1# continuous annealing and coating line achieved its first-attempt success in igniting the annealing furnace, unveiling the commencement of furnace preheating before the hot test scheduled in early June.

The silicon steel cold rolling project of LY Steel is undertaken by WISDRI in EPC mode, including one normalizing and pickling line, one set of 20-high rolling mill, one continuous annealing and coating line, one acid regeneration plant and one central control center. The captioned line, which falls under the phase 1 step 1 sub-project, is the first silicon steel continuous annealing line ever constructed by LY Steel, targeting new energy automobile, household electrical appliance, and intelligent manufacture markets.

To accommodate LY Steel’s need for premium thin NGO silicon steel, a combination of radiant tube heating section (RTS) and electric heating section (EHS) is applied to the annealing furnace, rendering high heating speed and good heating uniformity. RTS is equipped with new ultra-low NO_X burners for low-level air pollution, while EHS adopts both resistor band and electric radiant tube to enhance heating uniformity and temperature control accuracy with zero air pollution.
